Native ads represent a distinct way to reach your audience. Unlike the display ads, the billboards of the internet, native ads are rendered organically on the page, sitting in line or embedded into the content. As such, native ads tend to me more effective at capturing attention and driving engagement.
Also unlike display ads, where the ad copy is contained in the graphical component of the ad itself, native ads operate more like an article card on a website. They have an accompanying graphic, a headline, body text, and a CTA (optionally).
Finally, unlike Display ads where you control the entire visual experience, the layout and presentation of the native ads are dictated by the individual publisher. The header graphic, ad copy, CTA, and brand logo are passed to the publisher when the ad request is filled and they handle the font styling and size, and the positioning on the page so that it possesses a similar look and feel to the rest of the content on the site.
NOTE: There is usually a SPONSORED tag included in the rendering of the Native ad to give full transparency to the end user.
Native Ad Specifications
Creative Graphic:
The image for native ads should ideally not contain any text overlay, but if the image is <30% text that is generally acceptable. Here are the available creative sizes:
- 1200x627
- 600x600
- 800x600
Native creative graphics support the following formats: JPG, PNG. The optimal file size is 750kb and max file size is 3MB. The creative must be high resolution (The creative must be a minimum of 72 pixels per inch and is recommended to be 144 pixels per inch).
Headline Text
The headline of your native ads is the most important part. It represents the chance for you to hook your audience and get them to engage.
Length Limitations
Headlines can have a maximum of 55 characters and must have a minimum of 5 characters, including spaces. For Chinese and Japanese languages, the limit is 20 characters.
Body Text
The body text of your native ads gives you an opportunity to expand on your headline, giving the viewer more information about what they could expect to experience if they were to engage with your ad.
Length Limitations
Headlines can have a maximum of 120 characters and must have a minimum of 5 characters, including spaces. For Chinese and Japanese languages, the limit is 57 characters.
NOTE: For both Headline and Body text, you should note that emojis are not supported. Some UTF-8 special characters (e.g. trademark™/registered®) or ad copy in all caps, are not reliably supported by all publishers and risk being restricted in scale. To ensure no room for an ad serving issue, it is recommended to avoid the use of symbols in ad copy.
CTA (Optional)
The CTA of a Native ad is an optional call to action that gets rendered below your Headline and Body text. The CTA input is not always used by the publisher.
Length Limitations
Headlines can have a maximum of 15 characters, including spaces.
Landing Page URL
This is the destination url of your Native ad. It is best practice to include a utm_source and a utm_campaign value in your landing page urls.
Make sure your Foundry ABM scripts are deployed on your landing pages. Clearly display your brand information and contain a link for the visitor to navigate to your main website. Additionally, make sure there is a link to your privacy policy.

The final detail you will need is a Brand Logo to accompany the Native ad. The logo has to be 1:1 ratio (square) on a white background. The recommended size is 300x300 pixels.
This brand logo is configured 1 time in our platform, in the Ad Group Setup section of the app. Simply upload your brand logo there and
